Hudson K, the Knoxville-based electro-synth rock duo of Christina Horn, left, and Nate Barrett, will celebrate the release of a new CD with a show at 8 p.m. Friday, June 21, at Barking Legs Theater, 1307 Dodds Ave. "Ouroboros and the Black Dove," their first national release, has drawn the duo comparisons to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Annie Lennox. Over the past seven years, Hudson K has built a loyal following across the Eastern states, in cities ranging from Chattanooga and Knoxville to Asheville, Philadelphia and New York. Their shows, especially those close to home, frequently become a collaboration of arts, with belly dancers, knife dancers, Hula Hoop artists and aerialists. Joining them at the BLT are the bands Ashley & the X's and Woodford Sessions. Tickets are $10. For more information, call 423-624-5347 or visit www.barkinglegs.org.
