Lee University to host recital by Shikoh, Tejero

Lee University faculty member K. Alan Shikoh (guitar), above, and guest artist Dr. Nikolasa Tejero (clarinet) will present a recital at 7:30 p.m. today, Feb. 16, in Squires Recital Hall in the Humanities Center, 1250 Parker St. NE, Cleveland, Tenn.

The performance will include unique selections ranging from the Viennese classical style to Pan-American music traditions, blurring the lines between art, jazz, rock, pop and folk music.

Pieces by Lucien Battaglia, Jan Friedlin, Mauro Giuliani, Libby Larsen and Astor Piazzolla will be featured, in addition to new arrangements by Mario Abril of works by Emilio Grenet, Carlos Guastavino and Heitor Villa-Lobos.
