Chattanooga Symphony & Opera has planned a perfect date-night concert when the symphony plays the romantic music of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 2 and the "Suite from Romeo and Juliet" by Prokofiev.

Timothy Muffit, music director of the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra, will conduct the CSO Thursday, April 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the Tivoli Theatre, 709 Broad St.

Scottish pianist Geoffrey Duce from Illinois State University will be the guest artist, performing the Tchaikovsky concerto.

Prior to the concert, ticketholders are invited to join Cahill Smith, Lee University professor of piano studies, to learn more about the Tchaikovsky work. That Spotlight Talk will begin at 6:45 p.m. in the Tivoli Theatre dance studio.

Concert tickets are $15 to $56.
