Lee University School of Music will welcome back four of its alumnae for the next concert in its Performing Arts Series Thursday night, Feb. 1. The concert will be held in Pangle Hall on the Cleveland, Tenn., campus at 7:30 p.m.

The artists, known as 4ever Pianists, are four women from Taiwan who met while studying at the university.

The quartet has chosen the theme "Making a Birthday Wish" to tell a story through music of a girl on the eve of her birthday, unable to sleep amid her birthday wishes and excitement. Using two pianos, the concert will feature Tchaikovsky's "Sleeping Beauty," "Happy Birthday to You" arranged for eight hands and Taiwanese folk suites.

The four pianists, Yi Ju Tsai, Yi Ching Tsai, MinFang Wang and Ruobing Zhang, established 4ever Pianists in 2015 as newly graduated musicians who decided to take a break from solo careers to explore the varieties of sound together. Each of the group's performances consists of a brand new program, spanning genres from Baroque to contemporary music.

Guest composers and artists contribute to each recital, combining art and musical styles from all over the world to create a program for two pianos with a central theme. The quartet's goal is to help audiences discover a new love for classical music.

Thursday night's performance is open to the public and free of charge, but tickets are required due to limited seating. They are available at the Dixon Center Box Office from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, by calling 423-614-8343, or online at www.showclix.com/event/PAS-4ever-pianists.
