Micro Championship Wrestling will bring the "Best Little Show on Earth" to Dalton, Ga., tonight, May 5.
The website proclaims MCW as the "No. 1 midget wrestling company in the USA" with shows that offer "half the size [and] twice the violence." But comedy figures into the shows as much as the wrestlers' intense athleticism, making their events fun for all ages and demographics.
"These micro athletes may be short in stature but are giants in the world of entertainment," promoters say.
Their high-energy show will start at 7 p.m. at Dalton Distillery, 109 E. Morris St. The Dalton event was added as the company tours the South before heading to summer dates in the Midwest.
"They're making their way out west to Jesse James Dupree's Full Throttle Saloon," says Connie Hall-Scott, who books entertainment for Dalton Distillery.
Founded by pro wrestler Johnny Attitude, MCW is most recognized from the truTV television series "Hulk Hogan's Micro Championship Wrestling."
Tasty Yum-Yum of McDonough, Ga., will provide food for purchase during the event.
Tickets are $20 and will be available at the door. Each ticket entitles the holder to three complimentary house drinks.
