This month's educational wine tasting series at Back Inn Cafe, 412 E. Second St., will take an unexpected turn tonight, Jan. 12.
Instead of pouring vino, Michael Vasta, wine and spirits director for the Bluff View Art District, will guide participants through the year's only whiskey tasting class, featuring spirits from award-winning Buffalo Trace Distillery in Franklin County, Ky.
Buffalo Trace has been making bourbon whiskey continuously for more than 200 years, even during Prohibition for "medicinal purposes."
The tasting will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 in Back Inn's upper sunroom.
Tickets are $40, and seating is reserved.
