Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Gretchen Peters will be in concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at Blue Ridge Community Theater, 2591 E. First St. in Blue Ridge, Ga. The Nashville-based performer, whose latest release is "Hello Cruel World," is known for her poetic language, spare, evocative sounds and organic storytelling. She won the Country Music Association's Song of the Year award and snagged the Grammy nom in 1995 for writing Martina McBride's "Independence Day." "How You Learn To Live Alone," which she co-wrote with Mary Gauthier, appears on the "Nashville" Season 2 soundtrack, sung by Jonathan Jackson (Avery). Tickets to the show are $22.
