The Chattanooga Zoo at Warner Park has two days of special events that offer families a way to spend quality time with dad this weekend.
Saturday is Go Bananas Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with activities featuring all kinds of monkey business.
Chattanooga Zoo is home to six species of primates that range from chimpanzees to small cotton-top tamarins.
Zoo members will receive free admission to this event.
Honor dad on his special day Sunday when the zoo hosts Furry Father's Day during regular zoo hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In honor of Father's Day, all dads will get in the zoo for free when accompanied by their families.
There will be special zookeeper chats and activities with snow leopards and cotton-top tamarins. There are recent parents among both species, and they play some interesting parenting roles that visitors will learn about. Zoo guests will get a behind-the-scenes peek at the dynamics between mother, father and baby.
Zookeeper chats on Sunday are scheduled as follows: snow leopards at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., cotton-top tamarins at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
