Signal Mountain residents in Hamilton County District 2 will have another chance to speak candidly with Mayor Jim Coppinger during a follow-up County Conversation April 5 at 6 p.m.
"District 2 is geographically spread out, so in order to be able to allow the maximum amount of conversation to exist between constituents and representatives, we decided to have one on Signal Mountain," said county external communications manager Mike Dunne.
The meeting will take place at Signal Mountain Middle/High School and will feature district County Commissioner Jim Fields and School Board representative Chip Baker, in addition to departmental representatives.
"Commissioner Fields indicated he wanted to make sure he got to visit all the geographic locations in his community," Dunne said. "I'm in the process of scheduling an additional one at this time. I just haven't confirmed it yet. It will be on the website [hamiltontn.gov]."
An earlier District 2 conversation held at Normal Park Museum Magnet School had a low attendance.
