Pumpkin is out; cinnamon is in. And Einstein Bros. Bagels ushers in the season with a number of new bevvies, a couple of new sammies and one dessert-worthy new gourmet bagel.

First, with the cool weather the restaurant welcomes the cinnamon caramel latte - served hot, iced or frozen - and the cinnamon sweet cream cold brew, both of which are available only through Christmas. Likewise are Einstein's two new limited time sandwiches, equal parts hearty and interesting.

First, there is the "Croque Melvyn," featuring egg, ham, thick-cut bacon, Swiss cheese, raspberry jam and housemade honey-mustard "shmear," all served on the new egg bagel, which General Manager Amber Randall described as similar to the plain bagel, but fluffier. She described the sandwich as "like a Monte Cristo, but for breakfast."

Einstein's second new sandwich is the "Rancher," featuring egg, pork sausage, ham, caramelized onions, Swiss cheese and bacon "shmear," all also served on the new egg bagel.

Or, for a bagel to match one of those seasonally befitting beverages, Einstein is now serving the snickerdoodle gourmet bagel. Commonly served with honey almond "shmear," it may just be the dessert-iest breakfast of all time.

Go on and indulge; embrace the season while it lasts. After all, it's not long till it's time for resolutions.
