Now that the big game is over, Diamond Billiard Club may finally get a break from all those chicken wing orders. But that's doubtful.

"Wings day is our biggest day," said General Manager Jesse Howard, referring to Diamond's weekly lunchtime wings special, featured every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The deal offers regular wings for 65 cents each, and smoked and boneless wings for 75 cents each. Diners may choose to have their wings served with any of Diamond's 14 scratch-made sauces and dry rubs, including options such as garlic, lemon pepper, hot ranch, "el flamo del gato" and the award-winning blackberry Sriracha.

"Between the three [regular, smoked and boneless wing options], we do over 800 wings every Wednesday," Jesse said.

But, following football season's climax, perhaps you are all winged out. Don't fret - Diamond Billiard offers different, equally appetizing lunch specials every day of the week.

For instance, Monday's offer is "Mom's meatloaf," while "Taco Tuesday" features beef tacos for 75 cents apiece. Wednesday is, of course, "wings day." And every Thursday, Diamond spotlights a different pasta recipe, such as lasagna, shrimp scampi or blackened chicken Alfredo. Then, on Friday, fish is the featured dish.

"Fried catfish has been our standard for the past couple weeks," Jesse said.

And when you come in during Diamond's lunch hours, your meal is served with a free game of pool. It may just be the perfect break to the monotony of your workday. After all, variety, they say, is the spice of life.
