October is nigh and Halloween diehards rejoice.
Fuji Steak and Sushi on Shallowford Road is always looking for an excuse to celebrate. In honor of the favorite holiday of costume- and candy-lovers, Fuji is offering a number of new deals throughout the month of October.
First, said manager Geng Chen, the restaurant will continue its popular sushi special offering any of its rolls for half price every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Second, in addition to Fuji’s daily happy hour from 3-7 p.m. — which features $2 select pints of beer, $2 glasses of sparkling wine, $3 glasses of well liquors and $3 glasses of house wine — it will offer its large sake for half price. Finally, and perhaps most appropriately, Fuji will debut a new Halloween-themed sushi appetizer special — named “Monsters, Inc.” after the popular Pixar film — showcasing an array of unique seafood cuts, from octopus to squid to surf clam, served raw and with a side of authentic Japanese sweet-and-sour dipping sauce.
“It’s actually quite good,” said Geng. “It’s just seafood that not everybody orders.”
What better way is there to get into the spirit of All Hallows’ Eve than sampling such strange creatures of the deep — delicious, succulent creatures of the deep, that is.
Between its sushi specials, sake deals and one-of-a-kind appetizers, October is indeed full of reasons to celebrate.
