Nooga-Q serves up two of the most delicious acronyms: BBQ and AYCE.

“BBQ,” of course, is short for barbecue — as in meats slow-smoked over wood chips.

“We are a real smokehouse,” said owner Tami Smith. “We smoke our meats with wood chips, not gas. Never gas.”

And then “AYCE” stands for “all you can eat.”

At Nooga-Q, when you combine the two, you get an epic AYCE BBQ event worth penciling in on your calendar.

First, you’ll want to make note that every Friday from 4 p.m. to close, Nooga-Q offers all-you-can-eat catfish fillets, deep-fried to a golden brown and served with two sides, hush puppies and toast, for $10.95. Then, every Saturday from open to close, it offers all-you-can-eat smoked pork ribs, served with two sides, toast and drink, for $14.95. Sides include coleslaw, baked beans, fried okra, potato salad, corn on the cob, and mac and cheese.

But while acronyms can be delicious, so is the rest of Nooga-Q’s menu. From burgers to “wings gone wild” to banana pudding, Nooga-Q is worthy of making a date any day of the week.
