The hostess stand at Fuji Steak & Sushi is draped with heart-shaped string lights, and the restaurant's one-day-only dessert special is sure to give you heart-shaped eyes. Yes, the crew at Fuji is gearing up for Valentine's Day, which, said manager Geng Chen, is one of its busier days.

So why not spread the love throughout the month, then?

From now through Feb. 15, Fuji is offering a bevy of Valentine's Day drink specials. For example, you and yours may take advantage of double liquor drinks at single-drink prices; Champagne for $8 a bottle; or glasses of the indulgent chocolate martini, made with chocolate vodka, Bailey's and Godiva. Fuji is also offering deals on its limited supply of Castello del Poggio Moscato: glasses for $7 or bottles for $20, with a limit of two bottles per table.

Of course, Fuji Steak & Sushi's colorful, flavorful sushi rolls - filled with a variety of ingredients such as crabmeat, tuna, jalapeno and mango, and wrapped in your choice of traditional nori or soy paper - are always available. And like the restaurant's name suggests, the menu also boasts sizzling-hot steak dinners fresh off the hibachi grill.

Then, on Valentine's Day only, Fuji will feature a special dessert: one scoop each of peach, vanilla and cotton candy-flavored ice creams; deep-fried, topped with whipped cream and drizzled with caramel sauce. The dish, I assure you, is as decadent as it sounds - cool, creamy and crisp - the cherry to top off your sweet Valentine's Day at Fuji Steak & Sushi.
