What: About 200 guests put on their fringed sheaths or zoot suits for "Flappers and Fedoras," a Roaring 20s-themed party at the Museum Center at Five Point in Cleveland, Tenn. The event included a live auction, meal catered by Alshabibi Catering and music by Dexter Thomas Band.

Honorees: During the party Franklin Chancey was recognized as Museum Volunteer of the Year and Ursula Smith was honored as Guild Member of the Year.
What: An estimated 200 folks came to Chattanooga Market to get a $20 haircut, manicure or massage during the annual Cut Up For Life fundraiser. Ninety volunteers, about half of whom were stylists and massage therapists from the nine participating salons, gave their time to help the event.
Benefits: Chattanooga CARES, the Tennessee Valley's HIV/AIDS resource center.
