Living and Giving: Theatre Centre thanks its volunteers at Miss Annie Awards

' What: The Chattanooga Theatre Centre presented 22 awards during its annual Miss Annie Awards, which recognizes the outstanding work of its volunteers onstage as well as behind-the-scenes. "Into the Woods" and "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike" each netted six awards. The musical "9 to 5" received three, and "Of Mice and Men" won two. Stacy Helton chaired the Miss Annie Awards gala.

' Honorees: Of the 22 awards presented, top honors went to:

' Volunteer of the Year: Patti Gross.

' Outstanding Play and Audience Favorite Award: The cast of "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike."

' Outstanding Musical: "Into The Woods."

' Audience Favorite Musical: "9 to 5."

' Best Actor Awards: Scott Shaw, Wolf/Prince Charming in "Into The Woods;" Jim Eernisse, George in "Of Mice and Men."

' Best Actress Awards: Julie Van Valkenburg, Sonia in "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike;" Beth Gumnick,The Baker's Wife in "Into The Woods."

Audience Favorite Actors: Greg Rambin, Vanya in "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike;" Jerry Draper, Mr. Hart in "9 to 5."

Audience Favorite Actresses: Julie Van Valkenburg, "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike," and Denise Hardee, Roz in "9 to 5."

Most Promising Debut: Chelsea Pittman, Rapunzel, "Into the Woods."

Administrative Volunteer of the Year: Judy Wood.

President's Award: Lee Wright.
