Rossville, Ga., native Lauren Alaina scored her first No. 1 video Friday when "Road Less Traveled" topped Great American Country network's Top 20 countdown. The country singer beat out Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert and Florida Georgia Line in the fan-voted poll.

Alaina has been singing and songwriting in the country music industry since she was named runner-up to Scotty McCreery on "American Idol" in 2011.

"Road Less Traveled" is the title track of the 22-year-old singer's album that will be released Jan. 27. Alaina co-wrote the song with her friend, pop singer Meghan Trainor, and Jesse Frasure. It's a message to young girls not to be intimidated by cyber bullies but to embrace the body shapes and personalities that make them unique.

"Road Less Traveled" also cracked Billboard's Top Country Songs this week, reaching No. 23 on the singles chart. It is ranked 19th on Billboard's Country Airplay chart. Alaina also duets with Kane Brown on his new album. The two former classmates at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School sing "What Ifs."
