Richmont president leaving to work against human trafficking of minors

Bob Rodgers, president of Chattanooga's Richmont Graduate University, is leaving the position to take on the problem of global human trafficking of minors.

According to a news release from the Richmont board of trustees, Rodgers, who has been president of Richmont since 2010, will become president and chief operating officer of Street Grace, a faith-driven organization in Atlanta.

Human trafficking is an issue that Rodgers has already been involved on through Richmont's counseling and ministry work and also as founding chairman of the Freedom Coalition, a human trafficking partnership with Atlanta-based City of Refuge, a social advocacy organization.

Rodgers said he will continue in his role as Richmont president until a new one or an interim is found.

Richmont teachesgraduate-level courses on counseling, ministry and psychological studies from a Christian point of view and has campuses in Chattanooga and Atlanta, as well as offering online courses. The school, located in McCallie Avenue, was created in 1935.
