The Rev. Archie and Milvyn Hanner Sr. recently celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary with a gathering of family and friends. The couple were married Aug. 16, 1946, in Centre, Ala., and moved to Hixson in 1955. They have nine children, 20 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
McGee
Larry and Rose McGee recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by the Marty McGee family at Ringgold United Methodist Church. The McGees were married on Aug. 16, 1967, at First-Centenary United Methodist Church in Chattanooga.
Newell
David Keith Newell and Phyllis Diana Leuallen, who were married Aug. 26, 1967, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They have two children, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
