The second Chattanooga Tabletop Game Fest is back Saturday, April 28, for International Tabletop Day.

This event is sponsored by local game stores Infinity Flux and Game On, and is designed to serve the gaming community in Chattanooga, according to Meagan Frey, event organizer. It will be held in the historic Ridgedale Masonic Lodge, 1500 Dodds Ave., from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The venue has multiple floors with gaming taking place throughout the building, she says.

"I think we were all thrilled and honestly a little surprised at the attendance last year. Over 250 people came out to game with us throughout the day. It's exciting to know there's a strong community of tabletop gamers in Chattanooga," Frey says.

The event will offer 12 hours of nonstop board games, role-playing, war games, card games and every other kind of game played on a table. More than 100 open game demos will be available.

Volunteers will be on hand to help teach games to new players. Guests are also welcome to bring their own games.

Frey says one unique aspect of this event is its used-game silent auction. Guests may bring their used, unwanted games (with all pieces) to put up for auction. The money from this auction will be transferred to store credit, which players can use to purchase new games at either local game store.

Admission is $5, parking is free, and food and drink will be available for purchase.
