The LaFayette Police Department has charged a volunteer firefighter with several counts of arson.
LaFayette Police Chief Tommy Freeman said an arrest was made Tuesday in an arson investigation. He said the suspect, whom he declined to name, confessed to several fires in the LaFayette area.
Freeman said a press conference would be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the LaFayette Police Department with more details in the arrest and the arson investigations.
