UT police accredited by international group

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The University of Tennessee Police Department has been accredited by the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators.

According to a news release from the school, it is now one of 23 agencies to be granted accreditation.

Last summer the department was accredited by another group, the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies. The university said there are currently only 15 agencies nationwide accredited by both associations.
