Catoosa County Sheriff's deputies are still searching for a suspect who broke into the home of a couple on vacation, then stole a flatscreen TV and and a car.
On Monday, a sheriff's deputy responded to a crash at Springs Meadows Drive and Hooper Road and found a Honda sitting at the intersection still running with no one inside, a police report shows.
When the car was tracked back to the owner at 93 Cross Wind Circle, deputies found the garage door open and the inside door to the house forced open, reports show.
After interviewing the car owner's mother, police learned the family was on vacation. The car was taken to the sheriff's office and the burglary is still under investigation.
