The Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab is finished with the examination of Theresa Parker's remains.
Results of an examination by a GBI anthropologist will have to be released by Floyd County District Attorney Leigh Patterson, GBI spokesman John Bankhead said this morning.
Parker's body will be returned to her family in the next couple days and funeral arrangements are being made, he said.
A farmer found Parker's skeletal remains last week in a cornfield near Lyerly and the Holland community in North Georgia. Dental records identified her.
Parker was found a year after her estranged husband, Sam, was convicted of her murder. He was sentenced to life in prison.
