More than 200 people crowded the Chattanooga Convention Center tonight to hear details about a proposed gateway plan for two of Chattanooga's next premier parks.

"This is the next big thing," Mayor Ron Littlefield told the crowd.

The public meeting took a look at how to make Manufacturer's and Hamm roads into a corridor for Stringer's Ridge and the Moccasin Bend National Archaeological District.

Attendees heard ideas for green infrastructure, other proposed parks and how to make the area a more attractive gateway for the two parks.
