Chattanooga fire investigators are still trying to determine what sparked a blaze that destroyed a home at 4418 Kings Lake Court on Tuesday afternoon.
Resident Thomas Cook told firefighters he was asleep on the couch when some neighbors banged on his front door and told him the house was on fire, said Chattanooga Fire Department spokesman Bruce Garner.
Cook rushed out of the house without injury, Garner said, and the house was totally consumed by flames shortly after.
