Four people have been apprehended by Chattanooga police Department after a robbery and an attempted robbery this morning, according to a released statement.

Two men, a woman and a 14-year-old male were arrested in connection to the incidents, said police spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary.

Kendra Adair, 21, Charleston Beard, 20, Dietrick Benn, 23, and the 14-year-old have each been charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and two counts of aggravated assault, Weary said.

No one was injured in the robbery and attempted robbery, she said.

The first incident took place about 11:30 a.m. when a man was getting out of his car at 2102 E. 17th St., Weary said. Two assailants approached him with a long gun, but he was able to escape before getting robbed, she said.

A similar second incident happened at 3507 Sixth Ave. in which the suspects demanded a man's wallet, Weary said. He handed over the wallet and they fled the scene, she said.

Police spotted a vehicle matching the description of the suspects' on East 29th Street. The driver, Adair, lost control of the vehicle, crashing it into a parked car.

The four suspects fled from the car, but were apprehended by police.
