A Lee University student was hit by a car while crossing Parker Street on campus Monday night, the college's student newspaper, the Lee Clarion, reports.

The student was conscious when she left the site of the accident and was transported to Skyridge Medical Center, the newspaper states.

The student is the third to be hit by a vehicle on campus this semester, after two were struck on the same street in August.
