The owner and an employee of Calhoun Billiards has been arrested for running an illegal gambling operation at two locations within Calhoun, Ga.

The arrests came after Calhoun police went undercover and discovered both businesses were giving out cash prizes from the machines, which is illegal in Georgia, said police spokesman Lt. Tony Pyle.

Marshall Summers, of Dalton, Ga., who owns Calhoun Billiards on North Wall Street, was charged with commercial gambling, keeping a gambling place and gambling devices, a news release shows.

Billy Wilson, of Calhoun, who works at the business, was charged with commercial gambling.

Calhoun police expect more arrests to follow as the investigation continues, police said.

When the warrants for Summers and Wilson were served, police also removed nine gambling machines from each location, said Chief Garry Moss in a news release. The machines were being used illegally.
