A single vehicle crash at 1200 Dodson Ave has claimed the life of 31-yr-old Shamecta Heard. Heard was traveling with her daughter and a friend just after midnight today when she lost control of her SUV and crashed into an abandoned house. Heard was unrestrained and was thrown from the vehicle. Her passengers were taken to a local hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Chattanooga police believe that speed is the contributing factor in this accident and stated that no charges will be filed.
