Suspect arrested in Bradley school burglaries

An arrest in Bradley County early Friday morning potentially solves several school burglaries around the Cleveland area.

Brian Everett Gladson, Jr., 26, of Cleveland, has been charged with 25 counts of burglary, two counts of theft over $1,000, four counts of theft under $500, theft over $500, and possession of burglary tools on the school property, according to Bradley County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Bob Gault.

Gladson provided information about his involvement in six previous burglaries at Lake Forest Middle School and Bradley Central High School, Gault said.

On Friday, sheriff's deputies found a vehicle parked in a wooded area near Lake Forest Middle, which had been burglarized three previous times, Gault said.

Gladson fled on foot from deputies, but was taken into custody by officers waiting at his vehicle.

According to officials, the burglaries at the schools took place during fall break, Thanksgiving, Christmas and this past Friday when the school was out due to snow.

Gladson is being held in the Bradley County jail without bond while the investigation continues, Gault said.
