A 31-year-old electrician pleaded guilty this morning in federal court to charges he falsified records during work on the Watts Bar nuclear reactor in August.

Matthew Correll will face a possible five-year sentence at his Oct. 6 hearing.

While working for subcontractor Williams Specialty Services, a Tucker, Ga., company, Correll falsified records related to his job of measuring electric power cables for safety equipment.

Correll wrote he had measured cables that he had not measured.

Williams Special Services served as a subcontractor to Betchel Power Services Co. Officials said in previous stories that 80 employees worked at the site in Spring City at the time. Correll's employment ended in September.
