Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger's office announced today that chief of staff Jeannine Alday will retire after more than 30 years in county government.
"Many of the amenities and services that Hamilton County residents enjoy every single day would not be possible without the work of our chief of staff," Coppinger said in a news release. "Jeannine has been a relentless advocate for the Riverwalk, Enterprise South Nature Park and the Shackleford Ridge Park, among many other projects that relate to our quality of life."
This is the latest high-profile job Coppinger will have to fill. He has not named a replacement to fill the administrator of human services job vacated by Scott Schoolfield. He recently named Leslie Longshore to be the county's new human resources director.
