A Tunnel Hill man won $221,446 in Thursday's Fantasy 5 drawing, according to a release from the Georgia Lottery.
James Holmes, 68, bought his winning ticket at the Kangaroo Express on Dietz Road in Ringgold and claimed his prize Friday afternoon.
"I told my girlfriend, 'Baby, I won, I won, I won,' " he told lottery officials. "She's just tickled to death."
Holmes, who described himself as a retired jack-of-all-trades, said he is considering buying a new car but will first pay bills and take a vacation.
"I went to a store to check my ticket," Holmes said. "I saw that I won, so I held on to it real tight."
