A man was shot three times during an argument this afternoon in Cleveland, Tenn., Cleveland Police spokeswoman Evie West said.

Police received a call shortly before 3 p.m., West said. Officers arrived at the scene, outside 690 Sixth Street NE, and found Jeremy Landon Clemmons, 22, had been shot.

Witnesses told police that Clemmons was arguing with someone who pulled a gun and shot him, then fled. Police have leads to the suspect's identity, West said.

Clemmons was taken to SkyRidge Medical Center, and his current condition is unknown, West said.
