Man charged in Dalton with shaking infant daughter

The Dalton police arrested a 26-year-old man Sunday on charges of shaking his infant daughter.

The daughter was taken to Hamilton Medical Center by ambulance when she started having a seizure.

After that, officers arrived to investigate, and a witness said that Brian Yerty, 26, shook his daughter to stop her from crying.

Yerty was charged with two counts of cruelty to children and one count of family violence battery.

The infant has been released from the hospital, and she is now in foster care.
