Nearly two-thirds of Anderson County Republican Party straw poll voters chose U.S. Rep. Chuck Fleischmann on Tuesday evening, leaving slivers for the incumbent's two primary challengers.

According to results posted on the party's website, Fleischmann received 65 percent of the vote, Jean Howard-Hill got 28 percent and Weston Wamp took home 7 percent. About 150 people voted in the straw poll, according to Alex Moseley, chairman of the Anderson County Republican Party.

Two sources confirmed that Howard-Hill and Wamp attended, "worked the crowd" and spoke for 10 minutes each. Fleischmann was in Washington. He did not send a representative to speak on his behalf.

Anderson County includes Oak Ridge, the third-largest city after Chattanooga and Cleveland in Tennessee's 3rd Congressional District.
