TDOT's Flynn to update residents Sept. 21

East Hamilton County residents and business owners will get an insider's look at local road work projects at this month's meeting of the Ooltewah-Collegedale Council of the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce.

Tennessee Department of Transportation officials will speak to the group, and the public is invited to attend whether they are a Chamber member or not.

"I'll be discussing the current design-build project that is under construction that will tie I-75 Exit 9 to Apison Pike and fully open up the interchange," said TDOT Regional Communications Officer Jennifer Flynn. "I'll also be discussing two other Apison Pike projects under development - the first being from the end of the design-build project to Ooltewah-Ringgold Road and the second from Ooltewah-Ringgold Road to East Brainerd Road."

The meeting will be held Wednesday, Sept. 21 at Collegedale City Hall from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

"It would benefit Ooltewah/Collegedale residents to attend because they would learn about transportation improvement projects that will have a tremendous effect on their area," said Flynn. "The East Hamilton County area is growing rapidly, and TDOT's planners are working closely with the Chattanooga Metropolitan Planning Organization to develop future projects that will benefit the area."
