A LaFayette pastor turned himself in Wednesday amid allegations that he was involved in stealing money from a 64-year-old woman in his wife's care.
Roger Morgan, pastor of North LaFayette Baptist Church, was charged with theft by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, authorities said.
Morgan's wife, Christi, was the legal guardian of Jackie Humphrey. Christi Morgan was arrested in August after she was suspected of taking more than $165,000 from Humphrey's account, an arrest warrant shows.
Roger Morgan knew that his wife had bought their Chickamauga house using Humphrey's money, according to the GBI.
