More than 16 cars were broken into on Signal Mountain late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning, Signal Mountain police say.
None of the vehicles were locked, said police Chief Boyd Veal. The cars were entered, and property was stolen from the interiors, he said.
More reports are expected, said Veal, who added that similar break-ins have been reported in neighboring jurisdictions.
