ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Appalachian State ended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's basketball team's season today in the semifinals of the Southern Conference tournament at the U.S. Cellular Center.
The No. 2-seeded Mountaineers pulled away in the first 10 minutes of the second half and went on to a comfortable 77-52 win over the third-seeded Lady Mocs.
UTC finished the season with a record of 22-9. Appalachian State (25-5) will face Samford in the championship game Monday in a rematch of last year's title game.
