Construction will begin on a Main Street grocery store on June 1.

Enzo's Market, a long discussed $4.5 million high-end independent grocer similar to Greenlife, found financing this week and is scheduled to be open by the end of the year.

The 17,000-square-foot store will sit on the corner of Market and Main streets. Developer Eric Cummings expects it will mesh well with the already-established Southside businesses.

"I live there. I experience on a daily basis some of the needs in the area," he said. "That's the last little piece that makes it a community."
