Gospel singer/comedian Beth Green is performing at Daisy United Methodist Church Nov. 18 during the 10:45 a.m. service.
"Beth has a phenomenal voice," said Daisy UMC music minister Dennis Howard. "I listened to US-101 because she was on there. While she was in the Chattanooga area before, she was really well known on the radio."

Joe Green and their daughter Hannah.Green will sing three songs to start off the service and then give a personal testimony before Daisy UMC pastor Don Jones' sermon. Jones said the theme of the service is "Thanksgiving."
"It will be a Thanksgiving service to go along with giving thanks and the festivities of it all," he said. "We will talk about sharing and giving glory to God for what the earth gives us."
Green served along with her husband, United Methodist Church Cleveland District Superintendent Joe Green, at Fort Oglethorpe UMC from 1980-1991.
"My father was a minister and I swore I'd never marry a preacher because you have to share him with everybody," she said. But she changed her mind after meeting Joe and they married within three months of the time they met. "His family is in the funeral business. He proposed to me at the cemetery asking me if I wanted to be buried in the family plot. I said 'Now?'"
Green said her daughter Hannah is her "miracle child" because she had several miscarriages before she was born. Now Hannah serves as a worship leader at a church and works for HGTV.
Green was featured on US-101 in the 1980s with Big Jon Anthony and Gene Michaels. Her performances also aired on WGOW with Chris Copeland, Garry Mac and Dale Deason in the 1980s.
When her husband moved from Fort Oglethorpe UMC in 1991, Green went with him to serve in Virginia, after which they served at Alcoa First United Methodist Church for 17 years in Alcoa, Tenn. Now they reside in Cleveland, Tenn.
"I've been speaking to churches for the last several years," said Green. "I started singing in public at age 6. My mother said I hummed myself to sleep as a baby. I sing in soprano and alto. I've been blessed with a musical family. I released a tape called 'Hannah's Song' when I was in Chattanooga before. I speak, sing and do comedy now."
