Alabama man pleads guilty to threatening Obama

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - A Birmingham man accused of using Twitter to threaten President Barack Obama has pleaded not guilty in federal court.

Birmingham television station WVTM reports reports that Jarvis Britton was arraigned Tuesday by U.S. Magistrate Judge Harwell G. Davis III.

Britton was arrested last month after a series of Twitter messages expressing a desire to kill the president. He is accused of sending by Twitter a message that included the phrase She said on Sept. 14 he sent on Twitter the message, "Let's kill the president."
