ATLANTA - Forecasters say two tornadoes touched down in Georgia during a recent storm system, damaging homes in western and north Georgia.

The National Weather Service says an EF-0 tornado with maximum winds of 85 mph touched down just south of Interstate 20 in Haralson County around 6:20 p.m. on April 11. It snapped and uprooted several dozen trees and caused roof damage to some homes.

Later, around 9:20 p.m. on April 11, a second tornado left a damage path of 250 yards at some points as it traveled just over four miles through parts of Lumpkin and Hall counties. The EF-1 tornado snapped and uprooted trees that fell onto homes. Twelve homes were damaged on Bridgestone Way, with two of them destroyed by trees.

No serious injuries or deaths were reported.
