The North Georgia Electric Membership Corp. reported widespread power outages affecting the Rossville and Chickamauga areas.
The equipment involved in the outage is owned by TVA and the NGEMC, according to its website.
Crews are working to restore power as soon as possible, but a spokesman for the NGEMC said there is no estimated time of restoration.
