Judge tacks on 50 years in New Jersey father rape case

PATERSON, N.J. - A New Jersey judge has added 50 years in prison for a man convicted of sexual assaulting two of his daughters.

The Paterson man, a self-styled music producer, faced one of his daughters at a state Superior Court hearing on Friday. He was convicted in March of aggravated sexual assault.

The woman has said her father raped her and her sisters over a period of years. The Record of Woodland Park reports that the man, shackled and in a prison jumpsuit, burst out that the woman "should have told the truth."

The Associated Press doesn't generally identify victims of sexual crimes and is not publishing the names of the man or family members.

The man was already serving 40-years on an earlier conviction and faces three more trials.
