Two women injured in head-on crash in Polk County, Tenn.

Two Polk County, Tenn., women were transported by Life Force to Erlanger hospital Monday night after a car accident, according to Dalya Qualls, spokeswoman for the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

The crash happened just after 9 p.m. along U.S. Highway 411 at York Road. The two vehicles were caught in a brief period of heavy rain. The driver of the first vehicle, Alice Jordan, 59, said her windows fogged up and she traveled into the southbound lane and struck a 1995 Toyota Tacoma pickup head on.

The pick up was driven by 22-year old Leigh Wilcox.

No details on the condition of the victims are currently available.
