Investigators are asking for the public's help pinpointing the origin of Thursday night's fire at Happy Valley Farms that killed 35 American Saddlebred show horses.
Walker County Assistant Chief Waymond Westbrook said investigators are looking for any video or photos of the fire that consumed two barns on the nationally known Saddlebred breeding and training farm in Rossville.
"Due to the severe devastation to the stable, this information is needed to pinpoint the origin of the fire," Westbrook said.
The flames were reported to 911 about 8:40 Thursday evening. By the time employees reached the top of the hill to rescue the show horses inside, the stable was engulfed.
Farm employees were able to save only one of the show horses -- Merchant Heir.
