Park free on July 4 at meters in downtown Chattanooga

June 28th, 2013 by Staff Report in Local - Breaking News

Metered parking downtown will be free on July 4 in honor of the holiday, the Chattanooga Parking Authority announced today.

Paid parking for all street meters also will be suspended on Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

The news release noted that public and private garages and lots will be charging as normal, and that other parking regulations - such as bans on parking on yellow curbs, near fire hydrants and other rules - are enforced at all times.
